Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Prepper/Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces mainly and assisting within our powder coating and wet painting facility, ensuring high-quality finishes. The position involves physical labour and requires adherence to safety standards to deliver outstanding results.
This is based on a temporary contract but could result in a permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Mix paints, stains, and other coatings according to specifications
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care
- Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the project
- Follow safety procedures at all times, including the proper handling of tools and materials
- Assist with other related tasks as required to support project completion
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment and tools used in preparation and painting processes
- Experience with power tools including spray guns, drills, and sanders is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling materials or equipment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting during work shifts

Working hours - 7.00am - 3.30pm. Overtime would be required during the week at enhanced rate.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
