About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous experience operating brake press machinery in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely production of high-quality components, whilst also being capable of identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake press machinery to produce components to required specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and use measuring tools to verify tolerances and dimensions.
- Carry out routine maintenance and daily checks to ensure the machine is in safe working condition.
- Monitor production quality, make necessary adjustments, and address any deviations.
- Identify, diagnose and solve mechanical or process issues with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a brake press machine in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good understanding of metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
