Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated <PERSON> to join our construction and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various trades, including carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and physical endurance. Duties

Fabricate and assemble structural components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Perform carpentry tasks including framing, joinery, and installation of fixtures
Conduct roofing repairs or installations with attention to safety standards
Assist with plumbing tasks such as pipe fitting and fixture installation
Carry out masonry work including bricklaying and concrete pouring
Execute electrical wiring and installations in compliance with regulations
Utilise construction painting techniques for finishing surfaces
Handle heavy lifting safely during material transport and assembly
Read technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project execution
Maintain a clean and organised worksite to promote safety and efficiency

Experience

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or related trades is essential
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, roofing materials, plumbing systems, masonry techniques, electrical wiring, or construction painting is highly desirable
Prior experience in carpentry or joinery will be advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during demanding tasks
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites is required
Previous experience working on construction sites or in similar environments is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn
