About Us

We are a dynamic and growing hospitality business combining a hotel, golf club, and leisure facilities into a premium guest destination. Our offering includes accommodation, food & beverage, golf operations, events, and wellness facilities. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance.

We are now seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of the business.

The Role

As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of the hotel, golf, and leisure operations. You will oversee day-to-day operations while driving revenue growth, improving guest satisfaction, and ensuring efficient cost control.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a commercially astute, operationally strong, and people-focused professional.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy

Provide strong, visible leadership across all departments
Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability
Foster a high-performance culture with accountability and teamwork
Act as the face of the business with guests, members, and stakeholders

Operations Management

Oversee all departments including:
Hotel operations (front office, housekeeping)
Food & Beverage
Golf operations (course, pro shop, memberships)
Leisure facilities (gym, spa, wellness if applicable)
Ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
Maintain compliance with UK health & safety and licensing regulations

Financial Performance

Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance
Drive revenue across all streams (rooms, F&B, golf, events, memberships)
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Monitor KPIs and implement improvements where needed

Sales & Revenue Growth

Work closely with sales and marketing teams to increase occupancy and footfall
Develop corporate, golf membership, and event business
Maximise revenue through pricing strategies and promotions

Guest Experience

Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all touchpoints
Handle escalated guest issues professionally and efficiently
Continuously improve guest satisfaction scores and reviews

People Management

Recruit, train, and develop department heads and staff
Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance
Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment law

RequirementsEssential

Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Operations Manager in:
Hotel / Resort / Golf Club / Leisure environment
Strong commercial and financial acumen (budgeting, P&L management)
Experience managing multi-department operations
Excellent leadership and team development skills
Strong understanding of UK hospitality regulations

Desirable

Experience in golf club or resort management
Background in multi-revenue stream businesses
Degree or professional qualification in Hospitality Management or similar
