We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Carpentry Work Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in learning practical carpentry skills and gaining hands-on experience in the carpentry and construction industry.
This position is offered on a self-employed contract basis for 3 to 6 months, working Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Competitive pay rates are available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with assembling and disassembling carpentry-related structures and equipment.
- Support maintenance and repair work.
- Carry out carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting timber materials.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Assist with lifting and moving materials when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
Requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform manual handling and lifting tasks safely.
- Basic carpentry or construction knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Must be able to work on a self-employed basis.
