Role: Team Leader (Supported Accommodation for Care Leavers)
Location: Swindon
Salary: £13 – £17 per hour, £26K - £33K per year FTE (depending on experience)
Hours: Full‑time, rota‑based (including evenings, weekends, and on‑call as required)
Service: Ofsted‑Regulated Supported Accommodation for 3 young people (16–25)

We are Pealby Living and we are a newly established supported accommodation provider dedicated to helping young people aged 16–25 build the skills and confidence they need to transition safely into independent living.

We work closely with local authorities, social workers, and safeguarding teams to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance under the Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and value‑driven Team Leader to join our Ofsted‑regulated transition service for care leavers aged 16–25.
You will play a central role in leading a staff team, ensuring high‑quality, trauma‑informed support, and maintaining a safe, consistent environment where young people can thrive.
This is a leadership role with real impact. You will guide staff, oversee safeguarding, ensure compliance, and help shape a culture that puts young people at the heart of everything we do.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading day‑to‑day operations to ensure safe, consistent service delivery
- Providing supervision and staff development that promotes reflective practice and accountability
- Embedding trauma‑informed leadership across the team
- Overseeing safeguarding practice, ensuring concerns are identified, escalated, and recorded correctly
- Monitoring and improving quality through audits, feedback, and compliance checks
- Leading responses to incidents, missing episodes, and high‑risk situations
- Ensuring Ofsted‑aligned documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant
- Supporting rota management, handovers, and communication systems
- Building strong multi‑agency relationships with social workers, YOT, mental health services, and other partners
- Promoting young person voice and ensuring support is personalised and empowering

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate leader who can inspire others and maintain high standards of practice.
You will be someone who:
- Has experience supporting young people in care, supported accommodation, or safeguarding‑focused services
- Understands safeguarding, risk management, and professional boundaries
- Can lead, motivate, and develop staff teams
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Uses reflective, trauma‑informed approaches to guide practice
- Can remain calm and decisive during incidents or crises
- Is committed to inclusive leadership and anti‑discriminatory practice
- Can work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on‑call duties
Qualifications:
A Level 3 or 4 qualification in Health & Social Care or Children & Young People is desirable, or willingness to work towards this, but equivalent experience will be considered.
