Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Car Body Repairer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicle bodies to their original condition, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair methods.
- Remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections using specialised hand and power tools.
- Repair or replace damaged panels, frames, and structural components.
- Sand, prime, and paint repaired surfaces to match the vehicle’s colour and finish.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with vehicle bodies and repair equipment.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely to move large or heavy parts.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document repair processes and communicate progress with team members and clients as required.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle structures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, dollies, and chisels.
- Experience with power tools including grinders, sanders, and spray guns.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina and dexterity suitable for manual work in a workshop environment.
