Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organised Front of House Assistant to join our busy, friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent guest services, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills within hospitality, food and wine, as well as customer service in a dynamic setting. The position is suitable for individuals passionate about providing outstanding guest experiences. Previous experience is preferred due to the busy nature of the business, but on the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and assist with their enquiries in person or via phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation
Assist with setting up dining areas, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises
Provide exceptional guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously
Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
Support the team during busy periods, including serving customers and managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or hotel environments is desirable, however on the job training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with kitchen operations or barista experience can be an asset
A professional attitude with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A positive can-do attitude with a willingness to get stuck in and help out with all areas of the business
