Job Summary
Part time dog walker 24 hours a

Three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.15am- 4pm with the opportunity for extra hours. This position is part time starting in June.

This is a self employed position, driving license required to be able to drive the company vehicle

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and possess a genuine love for dogs. This role involves taking dogs on walks, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. The position offers an opportunity to work outdoors and stay active while caring for our clients' beloved pets.

Duties

Take dogs on scheduled walks, ensuring they are safe and secure throughout the outing
Monitor dogs’ behaviour and health during walks, responding appropriately to any signs of distress or discomfort
Provide basic animal care, including feeding, watering, and administering medication if required (training provided)
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning up after dogs during walks
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behaviour and any concerns observed during walks
Follow health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of both dogs and staff during all activities

Skills

Animal care background is advantage but not essential
Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners
Ability to handle multiple dogs of varying sizes and temperaments with confidence
Physical stamina for heavy lifting, walking long distances, and outdoor activity in various weather conditions
Organised with excellent time management skills to adhere to schedules and routes
Compassionate attitude towards animals with a genuine interest in their wellbeing
