Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Tyre Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and a keen eye for detail. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and quality are paramount.

Duties

Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools with precision and care
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements
Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
Perform wheel alignments as required to optimise vehicle handling and tyre longevity
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Assist with the disposal of old tyres in accordance with environmental regulations
Keep accurate records of services performed on each vehicle

Requirements

Demonstrable mechanical knowledge and understanding of tyre-related systems
Experience with hand tools and power tools used in tyre fitting and repair
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including manoeuvring tyres weighing up to 23kg or more
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Prior experience in a tyre fitting or automotive workshop is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively

This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to develop their skills within the automotive industry while contributing to excellent customer service standards.

Hours of work are 8.30 - 5.30 Monday to Friday.
