Job Summary
We are looking for a creative, driven and commercially-minded Media & Communications Manager to help grow the Vagabond Pilates brand across digital platforms, studio marketing, retreats, online and Clinical Pilates. As a new and fast-growing wellness brand, this is a varied role suited to someone who is passionate about branding, wellness, storytelling and community-building, and understands how to turn audience engagement into meaningful growth and bookings.

Reporting directly into the founders, the successful candidate will lead marketing campaigns, social media, content creation, website management, client communications and founder brand development, while helping expand awareness of our Online Pilates, Clinical Pilates and Vagabond retreat offerings. You will play a key role in shaping the voice, visibility and growth of the brand as we continue to expand.

Brand & Marketing

Lead the growth and visibility of the Vagabond Pilates brand across all channels
Plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase bookings, retention and brand awareness
Maintain consistent brand messaging, tone and visual identity
Lead paid and organic advertising initiatives

Social Media & Content Creation

Manage day-to-day social media activity across platforms
Create engaging content including reels, stories, photography, video and written copy
Plan and schedule content calendars aligned with launches, events and campaigns
Monitor trends, engagement and audience growth opportunities
Manage community engagement including comments, messages and online reviews

Website & Digital Communications

Update and maintain the company website
Lead SEO and online visibility
Create and manage email marketing campaigns and newsletters
Track analytics and report on campaign and platform performance against agreed KPIs
Assist with the launch and management of the online pilates offering

Brand Growth

Support the development and promotion of the Clinical, Corporate and Online Pilates offering
Manage outreach to local businesses, health professionals and referral partners
Help build awareness and educate audiences on the benefits of Pilates

Retreats & Events

Lead marketing and communications for retreats, workshops and events
Lead retreat promotion and customer communications
Help create aspirational campaign content to drive retreat bookings

Founder Brand Development

Support the growth and visibility of the founders’ personal brands linking back to Vagabond
Assist with content creation, partnerships, PR opportunities and collaborations
Help position the founders as leaders within the wellness and Pilates space

Client Experience & Community

Gather and manage client feedback, reviews and testimonials
Monitor class booking numbers
Support client retention and engagement initiatives
Continue to build on the strong and connected studio community

General

Work collaboratively with the wider team across studio operations to deliver growth initiatives
Identify and shape creative projects and brand opportunities as the business continues to expand
Stay up to date with social media, wellness and marketing trends

Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of social media, digital marketing and brand building
Demonstrable prior experience in marketing, community management or a similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident creating engaging content across Instagram, TikTok and other digital platforms
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Creative eye for aesthetics, storytelling and brand consistency
Ability to work independently and proactively within a fast-growing business
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with clients, partners and the wider team
High levels of IT literacy across multiple platforms
Commercial awareness and understanding of how marketing drives bookings and growth

Desirable Skills

Experience within wellness, fitness, hospitality or lifestyle brands
Photography and videography skills
Experience with Meta Ads and paid social campaigns
Knowledge of SEO, analytics and reporting tools
Experience with CRM or email marketing platforms
PR, outreach or partnership experience
Experience supporting events, retreats or community-led brands
