The Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? Will you cheer at a football match, dance at a disco or run around soft play? This role is truly special, as you will be providing person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and Autism, allowing each to choose how they want to live their lives and enabling them to reach their full potential.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred support that empowers individuals to take part in community activities and social events.
- Encourage independence with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
- Provide emotional support and build meaningful, trusting relationships.
- Promote choice, dignity and respect at all times.
Requirements
- Licence: A full UK driving licence with access to a car which you can use for work is essential.
- Flexibility: Various shift patterns, including alternate weekends with the possibility for sleep-ins.
- Qualities: A nurturing, supportive, and patient approach with strong communication skills.
- Experience: No experience? No problem. We provide excellent internal training for those new to social care. Already experienced? We will value and enhance the skills you bring to the team.
- Right to Work: Unfortunately we are unable to offer a CoS or offer additional hours for those with an existing CoS.
