Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to assist in various construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to complete tasks according to project specifications.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating heavy equipment.
- Assist in the loading, unloading, and movement of materials as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are stored properly.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery operation.
- Proven experience operating excavators in commercial settings.
- Valid CPCS or Npors, with lifting ops but not essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions.
