Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 360 excavator operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist with excavation, site preparation, and other related tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and safe operating procedures to ensure efficient and safe project completion.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently across various construction sites
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site preparation, digging, trenching, and material handling as required
- Follow all health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance
- Valid commercial driving licence (or equivalent) for transporting equipment if necessary
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols related to heavy machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
