Job Overview
We are seeking motivated Apprentice Joiner's to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of joinery and carpentry, providing a valuable foundation for a career in construction and building trades. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining practical skills in fabrication, assembly, and the use of hand and power tools. This paid apprenticeship is ideal for individuals eager to develop their craft within a supportive environment and contribute to diverse projects including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting.

Responsibilities

Assist in the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and components using hand tools and power tools.
Support senior joiners in installing joinery elements such as doors, windows, and cabinetry on-site.
Learn to operate various construction equipment safely and effectively.
Participate in site preparation activities including heavy lifting and material handling.
Contribute to roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical, and construction painting tasks under supervision.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
Follow detailed instructions from experienced tradespeople to ensure quality workmanship.
Assist with measurements, cutting, fitting, and finishing tasks as part of the team.

Skills

Basic understanding of fabrication, assembly, and carpentry principles.
Familiarity with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers.
Experience or interest in working with power tools used in joinery and construction.
Knowledge of joinery techniques including fitting doors, windows, or cabinetry is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required on-site.
Awareness of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems or construction painting is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced construction environment. This apprenticeship provides a comprehensive introduction to the trade while fostering professional growth through practical experience across multiple disciplines within the building industry.
