Are you a passionate early years professional ready to lead with heart and excellence? Our Ofsted OUTSTANDING nursery is on the lookout for a dedicated Nursery Deputy Manager to inspire, guide, and grow with our amazing team.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to lead our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the Nursery Deputy Manager, you will be responsible assisting leaders to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their development through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

Assist the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
Support a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and creativity through play-based learning experiences.

Experience

Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff members professionally.
A genuine passion for working with children and an ability to inspire others in their development journey.
Experience in managing children's behaviour positively while promoting an inclusive atmosphere is highly desirable.

Qualifications and requirements

Must hold an approved qualification of level 3 or above
First Aid training
Safeguarding training
Should have at least two years’ experience of working in an early years setting
