Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Forecourt Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service at our petrol station, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the forecourt operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will be organised, communicative, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they arrive at the forecourt and assist with their needs
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for fuel and shop transactions
- Upsell additional products such as car accessories, snacks, or beverages to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the forecourt area, including fuel pumps and shop displays
- Manage stock levels and assist with merchandising to ensure attractive product presentation
- Provide information about promotions, loyalty programmes, and store services
- Handle customer queries courteously via face-to-face communication or phone etiquette
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times during operations
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as stock checks and reporting discrepancies
Skills
- Multilingual abilities, particularly fluency in English and Spanish, are highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse customers effectively
- Excellent organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a busy environment
