We are seeking a competent and experienced Driver Trainer to strengthen our operational performance by developing driver capability, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring compliance across our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Deliver Training

Design, create, and implement comprehensive training programmes covering safe driving practices, regulatory compliance, vehicle operation, and customer service
Deliver engaging training sessions for new and existing drivers using varied instructional methods
Conduct practical, theoretical, and on-the-road assessments

Driver Assessment & Performance

Evaluate driver skills and identify areas for improvement
Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and ongoing support to help drivers enhance performance and safety habits

Promote Safety & Compliance

Foster a strong safety culture by reinforcing adherence to company policies and industry regulations
Ensure drivers maintain high standards in line with relevant legislation and best practices

Maintain Records & Documentation

Keep accurate and compliant records of training sessions, assessments, and certifications

Stay Informed

Keep up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and transport industry standards, and update training content accordingly

Qualifications:

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualification

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Driver Trainer or similar role within logistics or transportation
Experience in HGV driver assessments
Experience in managing drivers
Strong understanding of driving principles, industry regulations, and safety protocols
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to convey complex information to varied audiences
Strong coaching, mentoring, and observational skills
