Account Handler (Insurance – Personal Lines & SME)
Location: Westcliff-on-Sea

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Account Handler to manage a portfolio of:
- Motor
- Household
- Small commercial risks (trades, shops, offices, etc.)
You will take ownership of your own work, handling policies from inception through to renewal, and providing a high-quality, personal service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers
- Negotiate terms and obtain competitive quotations
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance
- Manage your own workload and priorities effectively
- Identify opportunities to enhance client cover and retention
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an insurance broking environment
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Motor
- Household
- SME commercial risks
- Confident in dealing directly with clients
- Ability to manage cases independently
Desirable
- Experience using Open GI
- Cert CII (or working towards)
