We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the efficient day-to-day operation of our finance function.
This is a varied role that offers exposure across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, finance administration, and financial record management. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial information, supporting financial controls, and ensuring finance processes are completed consistently and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain supplier records and supporting documentation
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Process customer receipts and maintain customer account records
- Allocate and reconcile customer payments
- Support debtor monitoring activities
- Perform routine bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Support month-end and year-end finance activities
- Assist with audit preparation and information requests
- Ensure finance data remains accurate, complete, and up to date
- Follow finance procedures, controls, and governance requirements
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes and ways of working
- About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience in an accounts, finance administration, bookkeeping, or finance support role
- A good understanding of finance processes and transactional accounting
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Experience using finance systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional, reliable, and proactive approach
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Salary: £30,000 FTE (pro rata for part-time hours)
Hours: Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week
