Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled loading shovel operator to join our team here at Brinklow Quarry, a busy sand and gravel quarry facillity near Rugby. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to load, unload, and move materials efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational excellence and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Operate loading shovels and excavators with precision to load materials onto lorries, stockpiles, or designated areas.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal functioning and report any faults or maintenance needs.
Assist with the safe movement of materials around the site, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate tasks effectively.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to minimise risks during operations.

Experience

Proven experience operating loading shovels, excavators, or similar heavy machinery in a commercial environment.
Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting basic equipment issues and performing routine maintenance checks
A valid operative licence for excavators or similar machinery is required.
Prior experience working within industrial or construction settings is preferred. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience operating heavy machinery in demanding environments. We value safety, efficiency, and teamwork, seeking candidates committed to maintaining high standards on-site.

Working hours:

Summer: 07:00 - 18:00 Monday - Friday

Winter: 07:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday

Saturday: 07:00 - 13:00

Work Location: In person
