Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 360 Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including excavators, to support various construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong mechanical understanding, experience with commercial driving, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the construction industry. Job is not based in Southampton but transport to site would be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360-degree excavators and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on-site.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation, loading, and unloading materials as required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes.
- Maintain accurate records of machine usage and maintenance activities.
- Support additional site tasks as directed by supervisors, including assisting with groundwork or supporting other machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating 360-degree excavators or similar heavy machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) preferred but not essential.
- Prior experience in excavation or construction environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to safety procedures.
