Full job description

Lynx Transport Ltd is a well-established freight company based in Southampton, specialising in container work all year round. We are proud of our reliable service and the strong relationships we build with our drivers and customers.

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (Category CE) drivers to join our team.

Container work only – no tramping positions available.

The Role

Driving HGV Class 1 container vehicles
Collection and delivery of containers to ports and customer sites
Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager
Supported by a fully manned transport office and out-of-hours cover

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence
Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Container experience preferred but not essential, we can provide training
Professional attitude and good communication skills

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles safely and in line with road and tachograph regulations
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
Complete delivery paperwork accurately
Communicate effectively with transport and customers
Provide a professional service at all times
