With the growth and expansion of our ABP Penston site in Glasgow, we have the opportunities below available to build our teams inline with increase in volume.

Role Definition:

As the Process Waste Controller the role would involve collecting processed meat waste from production lines, weighing them,

printing waste label, boxing waste and moving them to sell off area.

This position involves a bit of lifting and is based in a chilled fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

take unsuitable produced products and waste of them efficiently and effectively
ensure necessary replenishment requirements
ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes
follow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times
drive necessary line efficiency through consistent and correct machine operation
keep and maintain appropriate records as required
carry out waste checks when required
ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standard's of operation and safe operating procedures
ensure consistent and timely attendance
provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements
print out waste labels to ensure correct disposal
provide pro and re-active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managers
to ensure all products are sourced and manufactured to the food safety and brand integrity requirements defined by our customers requirements by getting rid of any discrepancies.

Person Specification

speaking, writing and understanding basic spoken and written English language (essential health and safety, traceability and quality control requirement)
basic numeracy skills
computer literate
attentive to detail
quickly, cleanly and efficiently processing food items in production line team
working in a chilled environment
flexible, adaptable and keen to learn
learning and implementing new information quickly
strong team collaborator
accreditation food hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2

Pay Rate and Shift Pattern - £12.71 per hour, Full-time permanent, 14:15 - 22:15 Back Shift OR 6:30 - 14:30 Day shift.
