Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Therapist to join our dental team. The successful candidate will provide a range of preventive and restorative dental services under the supervision of a dentist. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your clinical skills, including knowledge of anatomy, and medical imaging, to improve patient oral health. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality dental care in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct oral health assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising dentists
Perform preventive treatments such as scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications
Assist in restorative procedures including fillings and extractions as authorised
Operate medical imaging equipment to capture accurate diagnostic images
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and health & safety regulations

Experience

Previous experience working as a Dental Therapist or within a similar dental support role is desirable
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques utilised in dental diagnostics is preferred
Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial regions, is essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently
