Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive service team Monday to Friday 8.30-5.00, NO WEEKENDS!

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal and company standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Perform pre-test inspections to identify any potential issues that may affect the vehicle’s test outcome.
Accurately record test results and communicate findings clearly to customers, providing advice on necessary repairs or maintenance.
Maintain detailed records of all inspections and tests carried out, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all testing procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.

Experience

Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar vehicle inspection role is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, lighting, and emissions control.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools required for vehicle inspection tasks.
Familiarity with current MOT testing regulations and standards is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate testing and record keeping.
