The role

Want to be the reason why people should’ve gone to Specsavers? As an Optometrist here, you’ll be the go-to for eye examinations and contact lens services, helping us keep the nation seeing 20/20.

You’ll work with the store team to deliver high-standard clinical care and customer service to meet both patient needs and business objectives. And of course, you’ll be a key part in creating a warm and friendly environment for our customers and our team.

Our store

Specsavers in Bridgend is looking for an ambitious and talented Optometrist to join their thriving store. We are a community-focused store dedicated to ensuring that every one of our customers receives an excellent patient experience. We are seeking an Optometrist ready to use their passion and knowledge to help us build on our ever-growing and loyal customer base. Join us at Specsavers in Bridgend where we deliver the very best in customer care.

In October 2023, a new contract for the delivery of eye care services in the community came into force in Wales - Wales General Opthalmic Services (WGOS). Under the new regulataions, optometrirsts will be able to fully utilse their professional higher accreditations when delivering eye care at primary level.

Up to £65,000 (depending on experience and clinical qualifications)

Full time hours, between Monday - Sunday (part time available)
