Mere Green Education is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable A-Level Physics & Chemistry Teacher to work across schools and sixth form settings in Stockport.
We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire students, deliver engaging lessons, and support learners in achieving outstanding academic results at A-Level.
Requirements
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Science, or a closely related subject
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK schools or colleges
- Experience teaching Physics and Chemistry at A-Level
- Excellent subject knowledge across both disciplines
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality A-Level Physics and Chemistry lessons
- Prepare students for examinations and coursework requirements
- Monitor, assess and track student progress
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and leadership teams
- Promote high standards of achievement and attainment
