Due to an influx of work and recognition of the huge opportunities for growth, an opportunity has arisen to join one of the leading law firms in Cornwall and Devon as an Apprentice Secretary in the Family Law Department.
This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in a professional legal environment, gaining valuable skills and experience while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
In this role, you will support our Family Law team, providing essential administrative and secretarial support while developing the foundations for a long-term career in law.
What you will do:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Family Law team
- Assist with preparing documents, correspondence, and court bundles
- Manage diaries, appointments, and client communications
- Maintain accurate filing systems and support general office tasks
Experience and Qualifications you need:
- A strong interest in starting a career in a professional office environment
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- A positive, proactive attitude with willingness to learn
- A minimum of 5 x GCSEs which must include English and Math’s at grade 4/C or above

Hours
This is a full-time position. 35 hours a week Monday to Friday however we welcome applications from candidates looking for alternative working arrangements.
