Role Overview
Fluorochem is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Analyst to support analytical testing and laboratory operations within our clean room facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing chemical analysis, maintaining accurate laboratory records, and supporting data integrity and compliance within a regulated laboratory environment.
This role is ideal for an individual with previous laboratory experience who is confident working within clean room procedures and experienced in the use of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), including LabWare.

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday (40 Hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis in accordance with approved laboratory procedures
- Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for analytical testing
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment safely and effectively
- Record, review, and verify analytical data accurately within LabWare or other LIMS platforms
- Support environmental monitoring and clean room compliance activities where required
- Investigate out-of-specification or non-conforming results alongside laboratory staff
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with GMP, ISO, health & safety, and company quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records in line with data integrity requirements
- Assist with method validation, calibration, and continuous improvement activities
- Work collaboratively with Quality Assurance, Production, and Technical teams.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ laboratory experience within a chemical, pharmaceutical, scientific, or clean room environment
- Strong Analytical background
- Experience using LabWare or other Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Strong understanding of laboratory best practices and data accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Degree/Education Requirements
- A degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline is preferred. Relevant fields may include Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Environmental Science, or a similar subject.
- Candidates should have a strong understanding of laboratory practices, scientific principles, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working within GMP or ISO-regulated laboratories
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, or titration methods
- Knowledge of clean room procedures and contamination control
- Graduated in Chemistry or a related discipline
- Experience supporting laboratory audits and compliance inspections

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
