Established in 2002, the Reflex Group is now the largest privately owned print and packaging company in the UK having grown to over 900 employees operating globally. Location: Ossett. UK

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: 3-week rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 Monday to Thursday and 5.00 – 13.00 Friday, week 2: 13.45 – 22.00 Monday to Thursday and 12.45 – 19.45 Friday and week 3: 22.00 – 6.00 Sunday, 21.5 – 6.00 Monday to Wednesday and 21.45 – 5.00 Thursday to Friday

Role Overview

As a digicon operator you will be operating of finishing equipment producing finished labels in compliance with company operating procedures. Ensure machinery runs at a maximum output, bearing in mind quality, machinery limitations and health and safety.

Roles and Responsibilities

Operating of finishing equipment producing finished labels in compliance with company operating procedures

Ensure machinery runs at a maximum output, bearing in mind quality, machinery limitations and health and safety

Adopt a “pitstop” mentality to reduce change over times, fully utilise and organise press assistants and co-operate with staggered break times to increase run time against downtime.

Proactively manage presses to achieve the best quality levels ensuring that all paperwork is completed and up to date and ensures traceability

Ensure maximum material utilisation and a reduction of wastage of all materials including inks

Ensure machine is left in a safe manner for your shift opposite and any issues communicated clearly

Co-operation with all company systems including health and safety, IS09001, BRC accreditations and all paperwork systems

Detail all press specifications and technical details which are required to produce jobs environment;

Cooperate and participate in continual improvements to the press and wider company environment;

Carry out general duties which may include packing, sheeting and any other duties that may be required.

Required Skills & Experience

Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various printing machines and related software

Ability to follow instructions

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Experience working within a team with a good standard of communication

Digital finishing experience preferred – ABG, BAR, Grafotronic etc
