Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flat Roofer to join our professional construction team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in roofing installation and repair, specialising in flat roof systems. This role involves working on various commercial and residential projects, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and durability. The successful applicant will be responsible for executing roofing tasks efficiently while adhering to project specifications and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain flat roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute roofing designs.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as roofing membranes, insulation, and other supplies.
- utilise carpentry skills for framing or structural support where necessary.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timelines and specifications.
- Maintain a clean work site and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a flat roofer or in a similar construction role specialising in roofing systems.
- CSCS ( Green Labourers / Blue Skilled Workers )
- SSSTS / SMSTS (preffered but not essential)
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects. (preffered but not essential)
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong understanding of roofing materials, installation methods, and safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on-site.
- Skills in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, or related trades are advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
- Physical fitness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods. Pay: £100.00-£250.00 per day
