GCSE Maths, English, Science, Latin, French & Spanish Tutors (In-Person) – Clapham Common

About the Role
We are seeking experienced GCSE tutors to support a bright Year 9 student who is currently out of school due to anxiety.
The student has recently been diagnosed as autistic and is academically able. They respond best to a warm, patient, and low-pressure approach. Initially, the focus will be on building trust, confidence, and positive engagement with learning, with academic input increasing gradually as the student becomes more comfortable.
Tutors are required for one or more of the following subjects:
- Maths
- English
- Science
- Latin
- French
- Spanish
The Ideal Candidate
You will:
- Have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Be confident working with autistic learners and/or students experiencing anxiety, school avoidance, or emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA)
- Be patient, empathetic, and able to adapt your teaching style to the student's needs
- Be available for in-person tutoring in Clapham Common
Key Information

- Ongoing support required through to the end of the school year
Outcome
The long-term goal is to support the student's successful return to school in September. However, a flexible or blended educational arrangement may be required, and tutors should be comfortable working within an evolving support plan.
Pay: £50.00-£55.00 per hour
