Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our team for an immediate start. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of construction and renovation projects, demonstrating expertise in both traditional and modern carpentry techniques. Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install wooden frameworks, fixtures, and structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform joinery tasks with precision to ensure durable and aesthetically pleasing results.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as timber, steel beams, or other building components safely.
- Carry out construction painting, finishing work, and surface treatments to meet project specifications.
- Support plumbing, masonry, or electrical tasks if necessary, collaborating with specialised tradespeople.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction trades.
- Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, saws).
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques and assembly processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during demanding tasks.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, or electrical systems is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions accurately.
- Valid relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or construction are preferred but not mandatory.
