Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dairy Farm Worker to join our team on a progressive dairy farm near Magor, South Wales.

Our herd consists of 240 dairy cows milked through four Lely A5 robotic milking systems. We operate an all-year-round calving pattern with a summer calving bias, making use of grazing during the summer months and cubicle housing throughout the winter.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in a range of day-to-day farm duties, including:

Feeding cows using a JCB telehandler
Tractor scraping and yard maintenance
Bedding cows
Feeding and bedding calves
Cleaning and maintaining robotic milking units and surrounding areas
Monitoring cow health and assisting with herd management (depending on skills and experience)
Additional tractor and machinery work (depending on skills and experience)

We are looking for someone who:

Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Takes pride in maintaining high standards of animal welfare
Can work independently
Has livestock and machinery experience, although training can be provided for the right candidate
