About the Company

Farol Ltd is an extremely successful and growing multisite agricultural and groundcare business and the largest John Deere dealership in the UK.

Established as a family business in 1976, Farol today is made up of over 280 Service, Parts, Sales, Transport and Business Support Team Members, whilst still remaining 100% family owned. Holding the renowned John Deere franchise along with many other brands, we are the market leaders in agriculture, groundcare and homeowner products.

About The Role

We currently have a vacancy for an IT Manager, based at our Head Office just outside Thame.

Your role will be to oversee all IT related activity across the business – coordinating all areas of technology-related product/service selection, set-up, support, communications and data protection in order to enable employees to efﬁciently completing work. Assures up-to-date, effective hardware and software applications are in place and employees are properly trained in their use.

This is an office-based role.

Key roles and responsibilites will include:

Managing the IT systems, including all hardware, software, infrastructure, and telecommunications systems ensuring high availability and stability.
Ensure appropriate lifecycle management
Collaborating with all levels of management in the business to support business and digital transformation to meet the aims of their business plan
Maintaining and improving cyber security and relevant accreditations critical to the integrity and reputation of the business
Works with Finance Dept. to establish the annual IT budget
Coordinates purchasing new technology solutions including computers, servers, cell phones, software, mobile solutions etc
Maintains administration of all user IDs and passwords, grants authorization to systems and applications as appropriate, leads Authorization Management (AMT)
Safeguards dealership technology systems, password, and network access policies but also data’s by assuring timely back-ups and processing
Coordinates the installation and set-up of all new equipment, software updates such as JD Quote, Service ADVISOR, PM-Pro, DPM, and Dealer Management System (DMS)
Provides IT support to employees in all locations by prioritising, troubleshooting and resolving problems quickly and provides training accordingly.
Supports the development of the Dealership’s Website
Coordinates relationship with DMS provider and John Deere to address open issues and communicate requirements
Coordinates relationship with external IT and Communication providers to ensure Dealer compliance on IT and Communication requirements such as anti-virus update, network administration, disaster recovery plan, internet access
Responsible for GDPR

About You:

We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate drive, commitment and enthusiasm along with the following skills/experience:

Previous experience in a similar role
Familiarity with all areas of IT – hardware/software/cyber security
Experience with routers, servers, and network technology
Strong communication skills with the ability to train others on technology solutions.
Ability to work in a team environment

As this is an office-based role, you must be based within a commutable distance of Thame, Oxfordshire. Applications from candidates based further away will not be considered unless you confirm via cover letter that you plan on relocating for the role.

About The Benefits:

We can offer a highly competitive annual salary of £45k - £60k dependent on experience, 20 days holiday increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 25 days (plus Bank Holidays), company pension, employee discount schemes, employee wellbeing and financial planning service, cycle to work scheme
