Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for guest service, and experience in food handling and delivery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant restaurant environment at The white Lion Pub In Amersham HP7 9LJ , providing exceptional service to our guests while supporting the kitchen and front-of-house operations. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring fair compensation for your valuable contribution.

Responsibilities

Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation standards are maintained
Assist servers with meal delivery and clearing tables to optimise guest experience
Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks when required, adhering to food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including side stations and dining spaces
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order modifications or special requests
Greet guests courteously, providing attentive guest services and responding promptly to their needs
Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety in all aspects of food handling and service
Manage phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries professionally

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food delivery is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Experience with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is desirable
Familiarity with guest services, serving techniques, and meal presentation standards
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Experience as a delivery driver or courier is a plus but not essential
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in order accuracy and timing
Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy service periods
A friendly demeanour with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
