About the Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team based in Mersea Island Medical Practice on a part-time basis for 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Booking appointments
Greeting patients
Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff
Updating patient records
Processing correspondence and liaising with patients using various different types of communication methods

Interviews will be carried out for successful applicants on receipt of application and we reserve the right to retract the advert if a suitable person is found before the end date.

About the Candidate

To be considered for this position, you will need the following;

Excellent communication skills
A good understanding of IT
Ideally, experience of a busy reception/public environment
Flexibility to cover other shifts
Experience of working in general practice will be an advantage but training will be given to a suitable candidate

We are a training practice, and the team consists of 5 GP partners, 5 registrar, 1 ANP and a nursing team along with a very supportive administrative & reception teams
