Group Finance & Operations Manager / Executive PA
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Group Finance & Operations Manager to support the Director in managing a group of 12 businesses under Akbars Financial Holdings Ltd.
This is a varied senior role for someone who is commercially aware, proactive and able to take ownership of the day-to-day financial and administrative operations across the group. You will become the Director's right-hand person, ensuring the businesses remain organised, compliant and financially well managed.
Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Manage all companies using Xero.
- Reconcile all business bank accounts.
- Produce weekly and monthly management accounts.
- Prepare profit and loss reports for each business.
- Monitor cash flow and company performance.
- Identify profitable and underperforming businesses.
- Analyse expenditure and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability.
- Prepare financial reports and KPI dashboards for the Director.
- Liaise with external accountants and payroll providers.
Executive Support
- Act as Executive PA to the Director.
- Manage emails, correspondence and diaries.
- Draft professional letters and emails.
- Prioritise tasks and follow up on outstanding actions.
- Organise meetings, files and business documentation.
Administration & Compliance
- Respond to HMRC, Companies House, local authorities and council tax correspondence.
- Ensure statutory filings and compliance deadlines are met.
- Maintain company records and documentation.
- Coordinate with solicitors, accountants, suppliers and other professional advisers.
Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of all group companies.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and debts.
- Improve systems, reporting and business processes.
- Produce weekly management reports highlighting:
- Profitability by company.
- Cash flow.
- Bank balances.
- Outstanding debts.
- Key operational issues.
- Compliance deadlines.
- Business performance and recommendations.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience with Xero.
- Strong bookkeeping and management accounting knowledge.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple companies simultaneously.
- Professional, discreet and able to work independently.
Desirable
- AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience in property, healthcare, hospitality or multi-company groups.
- Previous experience supporting company directors or business owners.
Salary
