Construction Site Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

About the Role
Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading UK business to recruit an experienced Construction Site Manager.
This role offers the opportunity to take full responsibility for delivering construction and refurbishment projects across a varied portfolio. You will oversee site operations from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard.
Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in coordinating labour, subcontractors, and materials to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient site operations
Manage and monitor project programmes to maintain progress and meet deadlines
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and direct labour on a day-to-day basis
Attend project and subcontractor meetings to ensure alignment across teams
Provide regular and accurate progress updates to senior management
Work alongside the Quantity Surveyor to track subcontractor performance and progress
Organise material orders and ensure timely delivery in line with programme requirements
Supervise site activities, ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
Maintain quality standards and address any issues with workmanship promptly
Manage site logistics, including deliveries and stock control
Ensure all site documentation is accurate, up to date, and submitted as required
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential and/or commercial construction
Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management practices
Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
Understanding of planning requirements, ideally within rural or agricultural environments
Knowledge of sustainable construction methods is beneficial
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work, Fire Marshal, and Scaffold Awareness certifications
Full UK driving licence
