Full job description

SureCare Group has been providing general nursing care for our residents since 2003. Our homes operate under our ethos ‘Care, Quality & Compassion’ which is at the heart of everything we do.

Vyrnwy Nursing Home is seeking an organised and compassionate Care Home Administrator to manage the day- to- day administrative operations, supporting the Home Manager in running services efficiently and providing excellent service for residents, their families and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage administrative systems and processes to support smooth daily operations.
Plan, prioritise, and organise a varied workload using independent judgement.
Draft correspondence and handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports to assist management decisions.
Manage the Time & Attendance system, process rotas, and manage HR information accurately.
Maintain accurate resident files, admission and discharge paperwork, and regulatory compliance records.
Ensure resident wellbeing remains the top priority in all administrative tasks.
Respond to enquiries from prospective residents and their families, providing information and support as required.
Support staff recruitment, onboarding, and training in collaboration with management.
Strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner are essential.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Previous experience in healthcare administration, office management, or a similar role (care home experience preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office software.
Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulations would be an advantage.
A compassionate, empathetic and resident-centred mindset.
Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
