Job Summary
We are a family run poultry business looking for an assistant poultry farm worker, raising broiler chicks. We would like to find an experienced and enthusiastic individual.
The successful candidate would be responsible for helping coworkers in all day to day aspects of the poultry farm including animal welfare, site safety, paperwork and cleanliness, and management and maintenance of woodchip boilers.
Responsibilities
Setting up for chicks, placement of chicks and carrying out all maintenance checks
Carrying out all daily checks on birds, housing, waterlines and feed. general bird welfare and management,
Humane Culling and removal of dead stock
Completing all daily checklists and paperwork
Ensuring the Maintenance of strict biosecurity.
Management of basic farm equipment
Liasing positively and constructively with external contractors
Skills required
Basic technical computer skills
Driving licence
Onsite training will be provided
Work Location: In person
Pay: From £12.90 per hour
