Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Handyman/woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues efficiently
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automation systems
- Perform welding tasks as required to repair or fabricate components
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on work completed
- Supervise junior staff or apprentices, providing guidance and training where necessary
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of PLCs and schematics
- Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and understanding of mechanical systems
- Experience in supervising or leading teams is highly desirable
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for clear communication
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
