Sommelier — Core by Clare Smyth

Core by Clare Smyth, the three Michelin starred restaurant in Notting Hill, is looking for a passionate and ambitious Sommelier to join our front of house team.

Working under the leadership of Master Sommelier and Beverage Director Gareth Ferreira, this is an exceptional opportunity to develop your career in one of the best restaurants in the world, alongside a highly regarded and carefully curated wine programme.At Core, the wine team plays an integral role in delivering a world-class guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, committed to excellence, and serious about growing within the sommelier and wine profession.

The Role

As Sommelier, you will support the beverage team in all aspects of wine service, cellar management, guest engagement, and daily restaurant operations. You will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding wine list, learn from experienced professionals, and be part of a team that is dedicated to the highest standards of hospitality.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be disciplined, hard-working, and genuinely passionate about wine and hospitality. You should be confident, professional, and eager to continue learning in a demanding but highly rewarding environment.Minimum requirements:

Court of Master Sommeliers Certified, WSET Level 3, or equivalent qualification
Strong interest in fine wine and restaurant service
Excellent attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Discipline, reliability, and a strong work ethic
Michelin star experience is beneficial but not essential
