Site Carpenter / Joiner
Make By Design are designers and manufacturers of bespoke joinery based in Yate, Bristol. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Site Carpenter / Joiner to join our expanding team.
The Role
The successful candidate will primarily undertake 2nd fix carpentry, including the installation of workshop-built joinery, as well as shop fitting and kitchen fitting projects. Most work is located in Bristol and the surrounding areas; however, as the business continues to grow, there will be occasions where work is required further afield, including short periods of working away from home.
Requirements
The successful candidate must:
- Have proven experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry and joinery
- Be competent in all aspects of site fitting
- Be self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable
- Hold relevant carpentry/joinery qualifications
- Possess a valid CSCS card (essential)
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
- Provide their own tools, which comply with current health and safety standards
Experience working with Solid surface materials, such as Corian, would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds qualification or NVQ equivalent
- CSCS Card (essential)
