Working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our Colchester team. Working in a state of the art environment, you will be responsible in processing both image and on site estimates for our varying insurer and work providers and managing the customers technical experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying our repair estimates via image and in person
- Creating jobs cards for digital issuance to the workshop, including abiding by BSI quality repair frameworks
- Ensuring repair methodology is in line with manufacturer specifications, utilising Thatcham Escribe
- Providing upselling opportunities to customers for additional repair works
- Managing repair timing expectations with customers and providing technical updates where necessary
- Ordering parts from varying suppliers be in OE, Non OE or Green in line with Work Provider contracts and working with the repair and parts teams on supplementary orders
- Negotiating with Work Provider Engineering teams around Total Loss Avoidance schemes to minimise non-repair scenarios
- Finalising jobs for authorisation prior to invoice, ensuring all parts captured, and photographic evidence of repair stages
Previous experience & skills:
- Previous vehicle damage assessor experience is essential
- ATA or NVQ L3 would be advantageous, however training will be available
- Experience using Audatex and GT Motive estimating systems, ideally with certification
- Proactive mindset, identifying and remedying issues before they arise, particularly around supply chain and repair processes
- Empathetic towards differing customers needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
