Experienced Semi‑Skilled Labourer / General Builder

D & G Morgan is a trusted, family‑run building contractor based in Poole, known for delivering high‑quality workmanship across Dorset and Hampshire. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Labourer/semi‑skilled labourer to join our friendly team on a full‑time, permanent basis.
We carry out a wide variety of projects including extensions, refurbishments, new builds and heritage work on listed buildings across Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, the Purbecks, New forest and surrounding areas. Job Role & Responsibilities
This is a varied, hands‑on role supporting all aspects of building work. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:
- Assisting tradesmen including bricklayers, carpenters and groundworkers
- General labouring duties such as site preparation, tidying and maintaining a safe working environment
- Loading, unloading and moving building materials
- Driving a company tipper (when required)
- Collecting and delivering materials & equipment
- Removing, transporting and disposing of site waste responsibly
- Carrying out basic building tasks (depending on experience), such as mixing mortar, demolition and groundworks
- Following all health & safety guidelines on site
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working as a labourer in the building industry
- Be hardworking, reliable and punctual
- Take pride in completing work to a high standard
- Work well within a team and maintain a polite, professional attitude
- Be willing to support and work alongside different trades
- Hold a full UK driving licence (essential)
- Have their own transport and basic tools
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Overtime available when required
Pay:
- Rates depending on experience
