Learning Support Assistant (SEN Specialist)

What You’ll Be Doing

Tailored Support: Deliver high-impact 1:1 and small-group interventions, ensuring students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) can fully dive into school life.
Creative Adaptation: Partner with teachers to hack the curriculum—modifying resources and tailoring activities to match unique learning styles.
Emotional Co-Regulation: Use positive behaviour strategies and adaptive communication to ease anxiety, de-escalate challenges, and skyrocket student confidence.
Holistic Care: Support students with personal care and daily social routines, always prioritizing their dignity and well-being.
Squad Collaboration: Team up with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and teaching staff to ensure a seamless, 360-degree support system for every child.

Who You AreYou’re resilient, adaptable, and quick on your feet. You don't just manage changing environments—you thrive in them.

The Experience: You’ve got a proven track record in a similar SEN role. Deep, practical experience supporting students on the Autism spectrum is your superpower.
The Toolkit: You know your stuff when it comes to SEN strategies (think Social Stories, PECs, visual timetables, etc.) and know how to apply them in real-time.
The Mindset: You’re an empathetic communicator and a stellar team player who brings positive energy to the staff room.
