My Fathers Heart Ltd is a small company with a big reputation in the high-end bespoke joinery sector, specialising in luxury handmade kitchens, bedrooms, furniture, stairs and traditional woodwork products for private homes.

We’re looking for an experienced Bench Joiner who has extensive experience on all woodworking machines and on bench making bespoke items, the right candidate will have a passion for what they do, with the ability and desire to learn and work along side our very skilled team.

Must have/be:
- Qualification within the woodworking industry up to or above level 2 or equivalent.
- Must have 5 years or more experience with a great understanding of joints and different species of timber
- Must have an extensive knowledge of all wood working machines within the workshop from planers to spindles and everything in between
- A good work ethic and be willing to listen and grow
- Team player
- The desire to improve themselves
- A passion for woodworking
- A good eye for detail and able to self-critique their work in order to improve
- Be on time each day and have a good understand of time keeping time and meeting deadlines.
- Own hand tools including drills and levels
- Driving licence (clean)
Key Responsibilities:
- Making bespoke joinery, including furniture, cabinetry and architectural details
- Interpreting technical drawings and creating high-quality, precise woodwork
- Working with premium materials like hardwoods and veneers on top of more widely utilised materials
- Operating both hand tools and woodworking machinery
- Collaborating with the team to ensure top-quality results
- Installing the work you have made
- Time management to meet deadlines
Skills & Experience:
- Must be apprentice trained with a bench joinery or similar qualification
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Bench Joiner
- Expertise in luxury joinery with a great attention to detail
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Strong experience with hand tools and woodworking machinery
- Must have a strong understanding of woodworking joints and different species of timber
- A portfolio of previous high-quality work is essential
