Job Description

Lloyd’s Register GMT Ltd (LR GMT) offers comprehensive solutions to the challenges associated with the management of marine fuel quantity and quality.

Our main business activity is to provide a fully integrated fuel testing service to ship owners, managers or anyone involved in the purchasing or use of marine fuels. The company is continually growing, and, therefore, we are looking for motivated and focused professional staff to join us as we move forward.

LR GMT is part of the Lloyd’s Register (LR) Group, a global engineering, technical and business services organisation wholly owned by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to research and education in science and engineering.

Job Overview

Working as part of our busy team you will be required to carry out preparation and distribution of marine fuel & diesel samples.

This will include; all sample homogenisation and preparation activities, sample storage, stock control and routine calibration work.
You will be trained to internal & international standards and carry out procedures in line with good lab practices.

We are an ISO 17025, ISO 45001 accredited & ISO 9001 certified facility located in the prestigious Wilton Centre.

This role often provides suitable candidates with opportunities (longer term) of promotion to a QC/shift technician role within the laboratory.

Competencies Required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of relevant laboratory operations and standards
Knowledge of the properties of relevant chemical products
Computer Literate.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified in Science based subject to GCSE/O Level AND/OR have a proven track record / experience in a commercial laboratory environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
